For piste adventures, for optimum safety in the snow and the perfect day in the mountains. That's what the Kroon Mips is made for. The Kroon Mips ski and snowboarding helmet has everything a safe and modern ski helmet should have: style, a Mips layer and secure inmold construction. This consists of the Hi-EPS core, which absorbs impacts in falls, and a sturdy ceramic shell available in a wide assortment of colours. A soft inlining that can be taken out to clean ensures optimal comfort. Ventilation that can be manually closed on cold days supplies fresh air to the helmet. The Ergo Snow size adjustment system allows the Kroon Mips to be adapted individually to the wearer’s head.


3D Fit
The height of the Run-System at the back of the head can be adjusted using the 3D-Fit System. The helmet can be perfectly adapted to the head in a five-point gradation system. This improves comfort when wearing, safety and accuracy of fit.

Airstream Control
Air vents at the top of the helmet can be opened and closed using the Airstream Control mechanism. The air flow can thus be regulated and adapted to the weather conditions. This ensures perfect air conditioning inside the helmet at all times.

Ergomatic
Proven a hundred thousand times over and used on all Alpina helmets: the strap buckle with the red push button and multi-step automatic locking mechanism. Ergomatic can be operated with one hand - you can loosen the strap on the way up the mountain and tighten it for downhill - and in a fall the locking mechanism cannot open automatically.

Hi-EPS
The inner shell of all Alpina helmets is made of Hi-EPS (High Expanded Polystyrene). The material has microscopically small air chambers that absorb the forces acting on the helmet in the event of an impact. Hi-EPS provides optimum protection and at the same time allows for extra-thin helmet wall as well as narrow helmet shapes.

Inmold
In the inmould production process, the polycarbonate upper shell is thermally bonded to the Hi-EPS inner shell of the helmet body under intense heat and pressure. This creates a large and inseparable connection between the upper and lower shell. Advantage: The helmet is very light and at the same time extremely stable.

MIPS
MIPS is a system that provides protection against brain injuries that can be caused by rotational movements in an impact. The low-friction insert allows it to glide smoothly 10-15 mm in any direction, thus reducing the rotational movement in the event of a fall. This gives MIPS extra protection.

Run System Ergo Snow
The Run System enables all Alpina helmets to adjust to a custom size by using an easy-to-move dial. Alpina relies on the tried-and-tested Run System Classic for its ski helmets, a flexible head adjustment system with a central dial. A twist mechanism allows the headband to be adjusted more loosely or more tightly. The large dial is equipped with a non-slip two-component mix and can be operated perfectly with ski gloves.

Y-Clip
A helmet can only provide the best possible protection if it remains in the optimum position in the event of an impact. The adjustment and fixing of the two straps under the ear plays a decisive role. The Y-clip system ensures a millimetre-accurate adjustment - in a matter of seconds.
